PASQAL - First Neutral Atoms Quantum Computer available on the cloud

Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank is Crédit Agricole's corporate and investment banking entity. Crédit Agricole CIB is active in a broad range of capital markets, investment banking and financing activities.

Paris, May 6, 2022 – PASQAL, the leading quantum computing startup announces that its PASQAL Cloud Services is online and will allow end users to access Neutral Atoms Quantum Computers from all over the world. PASQAL Cloud Services is the cloud-based quantum computing platform of PASQAL. Our customers now have direct access to full stack Neutral atoms quantum computers to accelerate their development and complex business projects.

Quantum computing is radically different from almost everything we know and use today, in terms of theory, hardware and algorithms. This project will assemble many different competencies around the table: bankers, physicists, mathematicians, computer scientists, IT architects, all cooperating to this remarkable journey. This is a huge challenge, and we are confident to make it a success, jointly with our talented partners PASQAL and Multiverse Computing.

PASQAL’s QPUs are programmable using Pulser, an open-source framework for neutral atoms. Pulser gives pulse-level control over the QPUs, allowing users to define their quantum registers with arbitrary geometries and control the evolution of the system with a sequence of laser pulses.

For now, PASQAL Cloud Services is in private beta. The first 2 customers accessing the platform are CA CIB and CINECA.

CA CIB is the Corporate and Investment Banking arm of Crédit Agricole Group, the 12th largest banking group worldwide in terms of tier 1 capital. CA CIB relies on PASQAL’s technology to explore quantum benefits of algorithms for capital markets and risk management.

CINECA is an Italian inter-university consortium, which operates one of the world’s most important supercomputing centers. Members of CINECA’s ecosystem are developing demonstration systems that integrate traditional HPC functionalities with the use of PASQAL’s quantum systems used as coprocessors.

PASQAL Cloud Services is hosted on OVHcloud, the leading European cloud provider. PASQAL is also one of the laureates of the OVHcloud Startup Program and the first Quantum Supplier contributing to extending the scope of OVHcloud platform. “Cloud shall definitely be the platform on which you could challenge the most innovative and disruptive use cases. Therefore, we are delighted to accompany Pasqal in the frame of our OVHcloud startup program to explore the potential of Quantum in the cloud.” said Thierry Souche, CTO at OVHcloud.

In Q4 2022, PASQAL will open publicly its access to its cloud services while prioritizing customers on the waitlist. “In our mission to provide the best full stack quantum computers, having our Neutral atoms quantum computers online is a key milestone. It will empower our customers to accelerate their computational projects with state of the art next-gen HPC resources.”, said Benno Broer, CCO at PASQAL.
